After two years, Formula 1 returns to the historic circuit of Monaco. For many drivers, it is a kind of home race because they live in Monte Carlo, but for one driver it is even more special: Charles Leclerc was born and raised there. But what can the Ferrari driver do in his home race?

Will Leclerc put on a heroic performance in Monaco?

Ferrari are no longer standard guests on the podium, but the Italian team are in better shape than they were in 2020. So far, Leclerc is making the most of it, qualifying fourth in three of the four Grands Prix and finishing just off the podium in two races.

In Monaco, the engine is less important than at other tracks, and overtaking is almost impossible. So if Leclerc can get a good result in qualifying, he could well end up on the podium.

Normally, the 23-year old driver is very strong in qualifying, so if he doesn't make any mistakes on Saturday, Sunday could be an emotional day for the local hero, who will be driving in front of an audience on Sunday.
