From now on Toto Wolff is known as Dr Toto Wolff. The Mercedes team boss received an honorary doctorate from Cranfield University, with whom Mercedes has been working for some time now.

Honorary doctorate for Wolff

The paddock has a doctor because as of today Toto Wolff can call himself Dr Wolff. "I’m very proud to be receiving an Honorary Degree from Cranfield University. It’s a special moment, particularly because of the great work and collaboration between the Mercedes F1 Team and Cranfield University over the years," he revealed on the university's website.

Wolff expects the collaboration between Cranfield University and Mercedes to continue for a long time to come. In addition to thanking them, Wolff admits that he did not expect to ever become an honorary doctor of science. "Especially after failing to complete my undergraduate studies in Vienna! I feel both privileged and honoured to be recognised by such a prestigious institution," Wolff concludes.
