Vettel has no advice for Verstappen: 'Hamilton has beaten me'
- GPblog.com
Sebastian Vettel has not yet found his feet at Aston Martin this year. Not once did he manage to score any points for his new team. In Monaco he will want to turn the tide and finally score the much desired points.
Win a race
The fact that Vettel's results at Aston Martin are currently rather disappointing does not mean that the four-time world champion has become less ambitious. "Of course we are not where we want to be right now, but we are taking small steps in the right direction," quote Motorsport-Total.com the German. "In the end everyone wants to win races and become champions."
Vettel managed to win the Monaco Grand Prix twice, in 2011 and 2017. "Monaco is very special and a nice challenge," he says."Although it can also be a very boring race, if you are stuck behind someone. After all, you can't really overtake here." New track limits have been introduced for next weekend. "How it works here with track limits is maybe more of a question for Max," jokes Vettel.
Advice for Verstappen
During the press conference, Vettel is also asked about the title battle between Max Verstappen - who is sitting next to him at the press conference - and Lewis Hamilton. "Lewis has beaten me, so maybe it's best not to take advice from me," he addresses the Dutchman. In 2017 and 2018, Vettel finished second in the championship behind Hamilton.
