Perez feels no additional pressure from Marko at Red Bull

Sergio Perez knows he can do better, but he doesn't need others to tell him that. The Red Bull Racing driver is well aware that there is more to come from the RB16B. But he's not worried.
“All the pressure is coming from myself. I really want to deliver to the maximum car potential to where the team is operating at," Perez said ahead of the first two free practice sessions in conversation with Motorsport.com. The Mexican knows there is still a lot of room for improvement, but there is no internal pressure. "The team hasn't put me [under] any pressure. I know what kind of job I have to do. So, they don't have to tell me what to do."
Perez maintains confidence
The 31-year-old driver is known as someone who excels on Sundays because of his excellent tyre management, but in qualifying, it's still not easy in 2021. Perez agrees that the difference with teammate Max Verstappen is too big. "I think I’ve got a lot of room to improve. And yeah, every weekend, I'm definitely learning more about the car. I think Spain obviously was a one-off on Saturday. So the first three races I think we've been making good progress and in Spain. I’ll just forget that Saturday and move on.”
During FP1 and FP2, Perez finished in first and eighth place respectively during the practice sessions for the Monaco Grand Prix on Thursday afternoon.
