Ricciardo doesn't want to "over analyse" difficult weekend in Monaco
Daniel Ricciardo hasn't had the best of starts to his F1 career at McLaren. Whilst Lando Norris managed to secure his second podium of the season, the Australian finished outside the points. Ricciardo is wanting to forget the whole weekend.
Tough for Ricciardo
First, Ricciardo had blue flags to let his former teammate Max Verstappen through. Verstappen went on to win the race for Red Bull, but Ricciardo's troubles grew when his now current teammate Lando Norris lapped him. Norris went on to finish on the podium, whilst Ricciardo's side of the garage are left feeling frustrated.
"The whole weekend was simply a weekend to forget for me personally. Obviously, the rest of the team got a podium so I want to congratulate them. We never got going. The cars are nearly identical from a set-up point of view," Ricciardo told Sky Sports.
"I am not trying to be too different. A strange weekend, one to forget. I won't over analyse this one ahead of Baku. This year there have been those races where I need to find more and know it'll come, but this is different. Getting lapped might be the first time I don't know. I'll look into it but probably best to step away from it for a few days."
