Will we ever see Norris compete in the Indy 500? 'Interesting for the future'

A (former) Formula 1 driver who participates in the Indy 500, is not really a special, rare occasion anymore. However, Lando Norris has revealed that in the future he would also like to race at 'the Brickyard'.
Norris looks forward to Indy 500
Norris tells RACER.com that he enjoys watching the races in the IndyCar Series. "Normally it’s the Monaco weekend. I watch it; I watch as many of the IndyCar races as I can," said the McLaren driver.
"At the moment it’s not something I want to go and do right now, I’d rather just focus on (F1), but it’s something to think about in the future. I would love to do it at some point, but not at the moment," Norris continued.
McLaren already present in IndyCar
McLaren has shown that F1 drivers can easily make the transition to the Indy 500, for example Alonso competed in 2017 instead of driving the Monaco Grand Prix. The Spaniard led for several laps, but retired with an engine problem. Currently, McLaren have two permanent cars in the IndyCar Series and Juan Pablo Montoya had a one-time entry for the 2021 Indy 500.
