Max Verstappen will have to start the Azerbaijan Grand Prix from third place. He will start behind Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton. Due to a red flag at the end of Q3, the Dutchman could not finish his lap. In The Build-Up Verstappen explains his expectations of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

"It's always an interesting track for racing and we have a good race car, so we need to always look forward. Nothing is won at turn 1, we just need to keep it clean and go from there. From our side we are confident," Verstappen revealed. According to the Dutchman, it is therefore important to stay out of trouble in order to strike later in the race.

Verstappen sees opportunities

"We just have to make sure we stay out of trouble. I think we have a good racecar, only we have to see how the others will perform". Verstappen still has a bitter feeling after qualifying, where it still feels that the Dutchman could have got more out of it.

"Yesterday was of course unfortunate in qualifying, but we do have a lot of confidence in today that we can have a good race. We have to wait and see what the rest will do and we have to handle our tyres well, then we can have a good result," Verstappen said.
