Ricciardo happy with triple-header: "The best way to learn is practice"

Daniel Ricciardo has had a difficult season so far. The Australian left Renault after two years and since 2021 he drives for McLaren where he performs much less well than his teammate Lando Norris. Ricciardo hopes to make good use of the upcoming triple-header.
Ricciardo holds tenth place in the drivers' championship with 26 points, while Norris is second with 66 points and two podium finishes. The results must improve, Ricciardo knows. That's why he wants to make the most of the upcoming triple-header, which includes a race at Paul Ricard in France and two Grands Prix at the Red Bull Ring.
Lots of practice in the coming weeks
"When you're trying to learn any sport, the best way to learn is practice and doing it and that’s the unique thing with our sport, we can't do it every day, we can't just go out tomorrow and go and run a few laps, so I think having three consecutive weekends and putting in the practice consecutively will fast-track my progress," Ricciardo said in conversation with F1.com.
Ricciardo is realistic and knows that a race can be simulated almost identically with today's technologies. "We’ve got the simulator and these things help but in the simulator, the walls don’t hurt. So it’s never quite the same"
Many points finishes from Ricciardo
Despite somewhat disappointing results, Ricciardo only failed to score points once in 2021. This happened in Monaco where teammate Norris managed one of his two podiums this year.
