Austria turns pink: BWT announced as F1's title sponsor for double-header

BWT, former main sponsor of Racing Point and its predecessor Force India, will be the title sponsor of the upcoming Formula 1 races in Austria. The races are part of the triple-header that starts this weekend in France.
After the French Grand Prix, the Styrian Grand Prix and Austrian Grand Prix will be held consecutively on June 27 and July 4. BWT made its entry into Formula 1 in 2017, of which the company became the main sponsor. After this, the cars went through a real metamorphosis: they went through life with a light pink livery from then on.

The same goes for several teams in other branches of motorsport, where the same colour scheme is used. The pink colour scheme will be seen mostly alongside the track during the two race weekends in Austria, reports Formula1.com.
"The track will look vibrant with the fans in favour of BWT's pink backdrop colours, and marks a colourful return for Formula 1 in Austria," said Ben Pincus, Director of Commercial Partnerships at Formula 1. " Both F1 and BWT have sustainability high on their agendas, and it is our pleasure to work together to address the issues that are important to the societies we will be visiting," said Pincus.
