Hamilton: "This year is all about action"

Lewis Hamilton has stepped forward many times in Formula 1 in 2020 to talk about inclusivity. While great strides have been made according to the seven-time world champion, it is still not enough. Thus, he wants to continue fighting for equality in Formula 1.
Never enough work
"No, you can never say that enough has been done," Hamilton replied when asked by Formula 1. "It’s not a situation or a thing that you can change overnight. Of course, I’m really grateful for the support and I think there was a lot of people listening last year." Hamilton was the initiator when it comes to the ceremonies before the race. For example, drivers wear special shirts with 'We Race As One' on them and there is time to kneel for drivers who wish to do so.
"But this year is about action. And so far I haven’t seen any of that. But it takes time to learn these things. I think over these next months particularly you can see some interesting things coming from the Hamilton commission, coming from Formula 1 and the FIA is working on something also."
Hamilton happy with steps taken
Hamilton says he is pleased with the hard work within the sport. "So, there’s a lot of great work going on in the background and I’m super excited to see that action plan put in to place," the Mercedes driver concluded. On Wednesday, it was announced that Formula One was going to act on the Hamilton Commission's findings.
