The new car being introduced into Formula 1 in the 2022 season has just been released and it's caught the eyes of some of the current drivers of the grid.

Ferrari hopeful and impressed

The Ferrari duo of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz both expressed their fondness for the aggression the car looks to have.

Leclerc stated: "It's definitely going to change quite a bit. We already tried the car in the simulator and we can already tell that is quite a different car to drive. It looks cool, it looks aggressive, hopefully, we will be quick, hopefully, it will improve racing."

Sainz had nothing but praise, saying "I like how aggressive it is at the front and its simplicity. It looks great."

Old-school or futuristic?

Daniel Ricciardo and Fernando Alonso had varying opinions regarding the looks of the new car.

The McLaren driver explained that "I like the rear of it, the rear looks old-school, reminds me of 2008," whilst the Alpine driver expressed his opinion on the 'futuristic' looking car saying, "it looks more futuristic, hopefully, it will give good racing."
