Wolff "I expect some questions in Spa" surrounding Bottas/Russell contracts

Toto Wolff, Mercedes team principal, is aware of the pressure he is under to decide who will be Mercedes' second driver in 2022. He states that he understands how important it is for the two candidate drivers to know quickly what their future in Formula 1 will look like and promises to come up with an answer at Spa.
"I think it's important for George and Valtteri to know whether they'll be driving next year and that's, that's gonna happen", Wolff revealed prior to qualifying on Friday, speaking to Reuters among others.
Wolff maintains that a final decision will be delayed until after the summer break. "I expect some questions in Spa", the Austrian concluded. This Grand Prix is scheduled for the weekend of 27 to 29 August.
Good news for Bottas
The postponement might mean good news for Valtteri Bottas. The Finn made himself extremely useful to the team during qualifying, using a slipstream to help Lewis Hamilton set the fastest lap. Bottas is proving his worth as a team player and is hoping to keep his seat with the German team for another season.
