Wolff not happy with result of sprint race: "Pole should not be a race"

Mercedes celebrated after qualifying for the sprint race but had to give pole position to Max Verstappen. Toto Wolff doesn't think things are too bad though and thinks Lewis Hamilton has a good chance of winning.
"First of all pole shouldn't be the race but I would have said it the other way around with yesterday qualifying," he said on Sky Sports. "When you lose the race starting from pole, it's annoying but I think we had the pace that is the good news."
Mercedes tested different strategies with Bottas
He continued: "If Lewis runs in front it would be the same race. So we need to take it on the chin and do it all again tomorrow. We changed a little bit of how we approached it. The tyres were in the right window. When we push as flat out as today they can do it."
The Mercedes team boss doesn't think the soft compound is the right choice for the race unless you go for a two-stopper. It seems Mercedes wanted to test this scenario during the sprint race with Valtteri Bottas. "I think he did a good job today. Its quite tough at the front. I am happy with that [Valtteri on soft]."
