Compliments for Hamilton and Verstappen: 'We saw them race brilliantly'

Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen showed during the British Grand Prix that the battle for victory will be fierce this season. The Dutchman started from pole position, but from the first corner his opponent was all over the back of him. It ended in a collision between both drivers, with Verstappen the victim.
Both men have expressed their admiration for each other in recent months, and Hamilton even let it be known that he wanted to have a drink with Verstappen soon, but that seems to be out of the question for now. After the Silverstone race, Verstappen was pretty angry with Hamilton.
Battle between Hamilton and Verstappen
Will Buxton enjoyed the battle on display between Hamilton and Verstappen on the first lap. "We saw them race brilliantly. That's what we want to see. Just before Copse they were racing side by side, but in the braking zone Verstappen got the advantage. Hamilton was not on his line. But in the end my judgement is that it was a racing incident," he stated on the official website of Formula 1.
Hamilton and Verstappen will meet again in two weeks time, when the Hungarian GP will take place. Buxton expects the battle to only intensify. "The friendly relationship is gone. They're not going to talk about how exciting the title fight is anymore."
