Lando Norris was desperatly unlucky during the British Grand Prix. The Englishman was in third place for a long time, but a delayed pit stop meant that he lost that place, and as a result he just missed out on a podium place.
Norris has been driving his McLaren very well all season. Whilst other teams have struggled to keep up with the speed of Mercedes and Red Bull Racing, Norris always manages to fight his way through. At Silverstone he impressed again with his great performance and fourth place finish. "No idea how I'm still third in the world championship", he responded to Sky Sports.
The driver saw his team perform excellently, and his teammate Daniel Ricciardo showed during the race that he is getting better and better at the team, as the Australian managed to capture fifth position. "I can't be dissatisfied because P4 and P5 is a good result for us," Norris said.
Moderate pit stop McLaren
Norris was less satisfied with the pit stop, with which he lost a lot of time. "Of course I'm a bit frustrated. I don't know if I would have finished P3, but I would have loved to have fought for third place in front of these fans."
