Tim Coronel believes that Lewis Hamilton will think twice in future when faced with a similar situation with Max Verstappen. Furthermore, Coronel thinks that Verstappen will be able to deal with the incident quickly, partly due to his experience in karting.

"This mistake hurt Verstappen a lot, but I do think Lewis will think twice next time in such a situation," Coronel said in conversation with De Telegraaf. According to the Formula 1 analyst, Hamilton is well aware of what is at stake. "Of course he got away with it now, but for the same money they both bowled off the track."

Verstappen was very active in karting for many years in his younger days and that could be an advantage for the now 23-year-old from Limburg. At least, that's what Coronel thinks. "He has experienced these types of crashes often enough, so I don't think this incident will go to his head. If anyone can turn the switch quickly, it's Max."

Button flips for Verstappen

The weekend in Britain cost Verstappen much of his lead in the World Championship, but another chance awaits in two weeks' time in Hungary to make the gap grow again. "Of course he was heavily disappointed on Sunday night, but I'm sure he's already looking ahead. Just watch: Max knows he's the fastest and his reaction will come on the track."
