Norris has 48 points more than last year after eleven races, Hamilton 35 less

This year is the first time in years that a driver other than a Mercedes one has a chance at the world championship.
Compared to last year Max Verstappen has made a huge progress in terms of points. The Dutchman had 147 points after eleven races last year, he now has 187 points. That is 40 points more than last season. Hamilton has 35 points less compared to last year.
Norris hits the bull's eye
Behind the two potential World Champions Sergio Perez and Carlos Sainz are also doing better with 36 and 32 points more than last year respectively. This is logical considering they drive faster cars this year compared to last year.
The biggest jump however was made by Lando Norris, who so far has collected 48 points more than last year.
Bottas and Ricciardo disappoint
Daniel Ricciardo and Valtteri Bottas stand out in negative terms. Ricciardo scored 28 points more after eleven races last year in the Renault than he has now in the McLaren. Bottas, still driving the same car, has 53 points less than last year. A huge difference.
