Bottas not worried about possible competition with Formula E-drivers

Ever since Valtteri Bottas took over Nico Rosberg's seat alongside Lewis Hamilton, the Finn has been the subject of debate. Although Bottas has contributed to the Mercedes Constructors' title by scoring important points, he has rarely been able to challenge Hamilton. The calm that exists between the drivers at Mercedes because of these relationships will have been an important factor to keep the Finn on board all this time, but rumours about his departure are only increasing lately.
De Vries & Vandoorne
For example, George Russell has obviously been the man to succeed Bottas in recent times. Bottas could then move to Williams or (according to Peter Windsor) to Alfa Romeo, but even there the Finn has competition for a seat, especially now that Mercedes has decided to pull out of Formula E.
As a result of Mercedes' decision, Formula E champion Nyck de Vries and Stoffel Vandoorne are on the market. Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff recently let slip that he thinks both men belong in Formula 1. "They both deserve to be in F1 and I sincerely hope they can find their way back," Wolff said.
Bottas not worried
But Bottas is not too worried about his situation for the time being and is not weighing too heavily on the comments of his team boss, according to Motorsport.com: "I am not aware of those statements. It's the first time I've heard something like that." said the Finn. "Of course you always try to praise your drivers, even in different divisions. And they are very good. There are not many places in F1, but it's not really my concern at the moment and not something I have on my mind at the moment."
