Perez happy with Red Bull's honesty: 'They're not holding back'

Sergio Perez is driving for Red Bull Racing this season, finally giving him his chance at a top team. Perez talks about this new situtaion, and the honsety of Helmut Marko and his team to Motorsport.com.
At Red Bull, they don't often beat around the bush. Helmut Marko is known for giving talent a chance, but is also not afraid to criticise them and throw them out if they don't perform. Perez has met that culture for the first time this year, but he likes it.
Conversation with Marko
"When it was necessary. If I drive a bad race, he just tells me. He will always tell you exactly what he thinks. I think that's good for someone with my experience, with the career in Formula 1 that I've had. It's good for someone to say straight out what they think," said the Mexican.
"They obviously have all the information and all the data weekend after weekend. They know exactly what the driver's lap time is. At Red Bull nobody is holding back. They are quite transparent to me and to the media. That's a good thing. But the most important thing is that I am happy and go home satisfied every weekend. That's the most important thing for me. I am a very hungry driver and I have to be able to look at myself in the mirror," concluded Max Verstappen's teammate.
