For Red Bull Racing the weekend at Spa-Francorchamps was one of highs and lows. Max Verstappen won the race, but they could have scored more points with Sergio Perez. Christian Horner agrees, although he's pleased they were able to get points with Verstappen.
"It was all about yesterday. First of all, thanks to the fans. Credit to the FIA to try and get it going. Max felt the conditions with visibility were fine, but nobody behind could see. Very very tough, we obviously didn't race today and was all about what we did yesterday," Horner explained in a conversation on Sky Sports.
Red Bull closer to Mercedes
"From a championship point of view, it was great to get those points. I am glad we didn't take an engine penalty this weekend. You're always looking at the possibilities, you can overtake here!" Both Red Bull drivers are currently on their last engine and will have to take another penalty in the second half of the season.
At Red Bull they had everything but rest during the break. In the garage they were working hard to get Sergio Perez's car ready to race. "Getting Checo's car repaired and runnable was impressive, good work from the guys. It was a massive job, both sides of the suspension, a big old job. Max's guys were getting stuck in working as well, it was a great effort."
