Lewis Hamilton worked with all his might to keep Max Verstappen from a home victory, but he couldn't pull it off. As a result, the seven-time world champion also loses the lead of the championship.
Verstappen too fast
"What a race, what a crowd! It was a great weekend. Max did a great job, my congratulations to him. I gave everything and pushed an awful lot, but they were just too fast," Hamilton said after the Grand Prix.
"I'm going to call him Noah because when he had traffic he came through. The last lap was the best part of the race for me. One lap with low fuel. This is one of my favourite tracks," Hamilton concluded.
