Aston Martin finally begins construction of F1 factory

In 2018, Lawrence Stroll took the helm at the former Racing Point. The team that now goes through life as Aston Martin F1 team has ambitions to become world champions and in its race to the title has started building a new F1 factory.
New wind tunnel
The factory will consist of three buildings, including a building for the new Aston Martin wind tunnel. The construction was ceremoniously opened on Monday.
Stroll said of the news: "Our new buildings reflect not only the scope of our determination to become a World Championship-winning force but also the scale of our growth and development as an organisation."
Growing Aston Martin
Team owner Stroll takes the opportunity to thank all partners and mentions, "It's exciting to think that by the end of 2022 or early 2023 we will already be in the new home."
Team boss Otmar Szafnauer will look back at the old factory with slight sentiment, but added: "It's the right sizing for a world championship"
