Lewis Hamilton celebrated his 100th win in Formula 1 at the Russian Grand Prix on Sunday afternoon. Team boss Toto Wolff was proud of his driver after the race, he told Racer.
Wolff won many world championships with the Briton and therefore had to reflect back on his long period with the driver. "The truth is that when we look back in many years, it’s very special to have been part of that journey and witness of this journey because he is the all-time record holder. I think these records speak for themselves. He’s just the best that there has ever been."

However, it was not easy for Hamilton to walk away with victory in Russia. Qualifying in fourth place, the Briton had to work hard to secure first place. The rain forced Hamilton to outsmart frontrunner Lando Norris and take the lead.
"I understand why it was so difficult for McLaren to take this decision to stay out or come in. As a leader, you can only lose. We benefitted from that (Sunday), and it’s spectacular for the fans I guess."
