Red Bull Racing presents unique Honda livery for Turkish Grand Prix
- GPblog.com
Honda will leave Formula 1 at the end of 2021. Normally the team would have been able to race the last Grand Prix in their home country this weekend in Japan, but unfortunately, that didn't happen. Red Bull Racing has not forgotten their partner though and has come up with something nice for the upcoming Grand Prix.
Unique livery of Red Bull
During the Turkish Grand Prix, Red Bull Racing will drive in special colours in honour of Honda. The RB16B of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez will be predominantly white, with red accents. These are the old livery of Honda, with which it used to be active as a factory team in Formula 1.
Red Bull Racing's press release states that the livery pays homage to Honda's RA 272 car, in which Richie Ginther scored his first victory for the Honda works team in 1965. The AlphaTauri car's rear wing also reads 'thank you' in Japanese.
