Bookmakers believe Verstappen still favourite to win World Championship
- GPblog.com
The bookmakers are in agreement after Max Verstappen recaptured the lead of the World Championship from Lewis Hamilton during the Turkish GP. According to the bookies, the odds are that Verstappen will also be on top of the final standings after the season in Abu Dhabi.
In a way it is remarkable: with six Grands Prix still to go the difference is only as many points. The difference between first and second place is seven points, so Hamilton still has it all in his own hand. Maybe he and Mercedes are in a better position at the moment considering the speed of the W12 at Sochi Autodrom and Istanbul Park.

Will new chassis help Verstappen?
Formula 1 has traveled to the circuit in Austin six times since 2014. Five times it was Mercedes that walked away with victory. The track seems to be made for the W12 and Red Bull Racing has already indicated that it will be difficult to beat the 'Silver Arrows'. Verstappen may be given a new chassis this weekend though.
