For a long time it seemed that The United States Grand Prix would be won by Lewis Hamilton as it seemed to be a real Mercedes circuit. Max Verstappen's victory in Austin proved otherwise and he will therefore start the Mexican Grand Prix with a twelve point lead. Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff is not worried yet, as he thinks Mercedes will still have plenty of chances to score points.

It looks like Verstappen's lead will only increase in the coming weekends. Mexico and Brazil are theoretically more suited to the Red Bull Racing car, but Wolff is not so sure about that.

"We have seen a few times this season that everything can change very quickly. We've seen races where we should have been stronger but things turned out differently, and the reverse is also true for our opponents. So you just have to look at it race by race," the Austrian told Speedweek.

Enjoying the duel

Wolff admits that the duel with Red Bull is demanding on the team, but that at the same time they are enjoying this title fight terribly. "I can feel how good our morale is. We also travel to Mexico thinking that we can win. Yes, we are under pressure, but it is positive pressure that inspires us to new heights."
