Formula 1 is preparing for a thrilling end of the season. Where Max Verstappen is currently on top in the World Championship, Lewis Hamilton is only twelve points behind. If necessary, Valtteri Bottas is willing to help his teammate.
As the end of the season draws to a close, the question of what Sergio Perez and Bottas would do if their team wanted to sacrifice them is coming up more and more often. The past has shown that not all drivers are willing to give up their position on the track to a teammate. The Finn, however, sees things differently, he told the Daily Telegraph.
"It is always different and it is hard to predict. If there is an opportunity to try and help Lewis by stealing points from Max I will do it," Bottas stated.
Title fight between Verstappen and Hamilton
Bottas is witnessing Hamilton's hard work to win his eighth world title. He therefore has faith in his team. "It has been pretty hectic and we have had to squeeze everything out of the team. We are keeping our nerves in place and are very motivated."
