Ricciardo: 'What would you think of a face tattoo on Marko?'

Daniel Ricciardo has been in contact with former team boss Cyril Abiteboul. The two had agreed that Abiteboul would get a tattoo if Ricciardo scored his first podium for Renault in 2020. Ricciardo can confirm that the tattoo will be done.
Abiteboul's tattoo is going to happen
More than a year ago, Ricciardo stood on the podium for the first time with Renault. He crossed the finish line third in the Eifel Grand Prix at the Nürburgring. A podium finish for Ricciardo meant a tattoo for team boss Abiteboul, who had agreed the deal prior to the 2020 season. For a long time, it looked like it might not happen, but Ricciardo himself has since confirmed to Motorsport-Total.com that Abiteboul really will have to get in on the act between the Grands Prix of Qatar and Saudi Arabia. "If nothing changes in the schedule, it will happen," Ricciardo said.
Meanwhile, Ricciardo has been driving for almost a full season at McLaren, where he has already stood on the top step of the podium. McLaren CEO Zak Brown has immortalized the Monza win by getting a tattoo of the circuit and the date of the win. "I had no idea he was going to get a tattoo," Ricciardo revealed.
Ricciardo goes down paddock
Ricciardo was in touch with Abiteboul recently. "He really wants to do it. And I think he's even more hooked after Zak did it. It's going to happen! I will give him another push, but he really wants to do it!"
"And then I have to go back to Christian [Horner] and Helmut [Marko] to see if they're interested," jokes the Australian. "I'll just go all over the paddock. What would you think about a face tattoo on Helmut? Would it suit him?"
