The president of the Automobile Club of Monaco has revealed that grid girls will be present at May’s Monaco Grand Prix.

Despite Liberty replacing grid girls with ‘grid kids’ at the beginning of the season, Monaco has decided to not adhere to the new rules but have come to an agreement with Formula 1 bosses.

Boeri said that although the grid girls won’t be holding boards with driver numbers on it, they will be at the race:

“The relationship is good with Liberty Media because they understand that Monaco is not Spa or Monza.

“We’ve had no problems with Liberty Media, except for the grid girl issue. They’ll be there, on the grid, but won’t be holding any name-boards. They’re pretty and the cameras will be on them once again.”
