It might be a tight weekend for the Formula 1 teams in terms of scheduling. Two cargo planes with car parts are said to be stuck at Miami airport, so the construction of cars is delayed.

Right after the Mexican Grand Prix it is time for the Brazilian Grand Prix. The teams have less than a week to ship all cargo from Mexico to Brazil so it is important that this happens as soon as possible.

Aircraft with cargo in trouble

While normally little goes wrong, that doesn't seem to be the case this time. In fact, Formula One journalist Jennie Gow reveals via her Twitter that two F1 planes are stuck at Miami airport. "Fun and games in F1 land. Two of the F1 freight planes are stuck in Miami," she writes.

"So it’s going to be a very late start to get building cars and get them through scrutineering in time for Friday. Herculean effort by lots of people but schedule might have to change," Gow concludes.

Brazil extra important

The first free practice session will be even more important in Brazil than during a normal weekend. The country will hold the third sprint race this season, which means that the normal qualifying session already takes place on Friday afternoon.
