More problems with Verstappen's rear wing: 'Red Bull's weakness'
- GPblog.com
Robert Doornbos has pointed out a problem with the rear wing of Red Bull Racing in the broadcast of Ziggo Sport. For the third time in a row, there seem to be problems with the cars of Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen.
In the United States Grand Prix Red Bull's rear wings had to be glued and in Mexico, there were problems with the rear wing which were worked on until the last moment. According to Red Bull Racing, this was not structural, but images from qualifying in Brazil show problems for the RB16B again.
Rear wing problems again for Red Bull
''I saw something very fast on the straight. At the top of the screen (on the straight when the rear wing is open with DRS) you can see the Honda logo flapping. It shouldn't be. That has happened several times this year,'' Doornbos said of Verstappen's earlier problems this year. According to Doornbos, you can also see Verstappen inspecting his rear wing after qualifying.
''Of course, he didn't communicate that over the team radio, but he does realise that there might be something wrong with the DRS. He just touches it with his hand. A weakness of the Red Bull car: the rear wing. Cracks, DRS not working'', concludes the former Formula 1 driver.
