James joined GPblog as Managing Editor in 2025 after spells at several motorsport publications. He left university after discovering a passion for the written word and decided to combine this with his equal love of Formula 1 as a career path. As well as English, James speaks Italian and Japanese. His favourite track on the F1 calendar is Spa-Francorchamps.
