Ferrari make mistake at the Dutch GP with slow pit stop
- GPblog.com
Ferrari made another mistake during the Dutch Grand Prix. Carlos Sainz was the first of the top five to come in, but the team only had three tyres ready for the Spaniard. Sergio Perez also suffers from the chaos at the Italians.
Another Ferrari mistake
On lap fifteen Sainz and Perez come in one after the other. The Spaniard's pitstop went wrong as Ferrari did not have the fourth tyre ready. As a result, Sainz's pitstop takes more than twelve seconds. Due to the chaos the Italians leave the wheel gun on Perez's track, causing the Mexican to drive over the object when leaving his pit box.
As a result of the long pit stop Sainz lost a lot of time and is now in sixth place behind Perez. The gap to the Red Bull Racing driver is more than three seconds. The stewards will look into the incident further after the race.
