It will be an all American weekend for Williams in several ways. Logan Sargeant will step in during the first free practice session for his official Formula 1 debut during the very weekend in his home country. The American will thus get to see action at the Circuit of the Americas on Friday in a specially decked-out FW44. He previously drove the FW43B during the Young Drivers Test in Abu Dhabi.
"To be making my FP1 debut at COTA in my home country is special moment for me," Sargeant informed in a Williams press release. "I’d like to thank Williams and Dorilton Motor Sports for this opportunity and the support they’ve given me since I joined the Academy this time last year in Austin."
