Collision between Verstappen and Russell, debris flies around
Max Verstappen was already uncomfortable in Las Vegas, and midway through the Grand Prix, things did not get any better for the Dutchman. After receiving a time penalty for the start-up incident with Charles Leclerc, the Red Bull Racing driver collided with George Russell's Mercedes at a later stage. The incident caused a safety car because of the numerous debris that had to be cleared by the marshals. The stewards quickly ruled that Russell was responsible for the collision and imposed a five-second time penalty on him.
