The second free practice session at the Las Vegas Grand Prix had not seen many issues for drivers' with the only struggles coming on track as they battled the cooling temperatures and the low grip around the Las Vegas Street Circuit. However, with just over 20 minutes remaining of FP2, the red flag came put as Alex Albon's Willimas stopped on track.

The Thai-British driver had a stop-start session in the 'Sin City', as he was forced to come in earlier in the session due to a fuel issue with his car. Williams put out a statement saying, "Alex is experiencing an issue with the fuel system and the team are investigating further. We’ll look to send him out for FP2 shortly," hoping to have sorted out the issue hindering their driver.

However, that was not the case, as when Albon returned to the track to continue with the session, he did not make it far from his pit box. He came to a stop just a few corners into his warm-up lap from the garage, and he pulled over to the side of the circuit to abandon his car and end his session.
