Oliver Rowland has clinched an unexpected win, beating both Porsche drivers, Pascal Wehrlein and Antonio Felix Da Costa, to the flag in Mexico City following an eventful race, decided by a late Safety Car which gave the win to the Nissan driver.

Despite the fact that it was the German and the Portuguese Porsche drivers who'd been setting the pace from the get go and had put seconds between them and the British Nissan driver, a late Safety Car, gave Rowland the opportunity to use his final Attack mode to overtake the Andretti Formula E driver, Jake Dennis, for P3, coming out of the final corner and soon after taking Wehrlein into turn 5.

Just before he'd used up his final attack mode moments, Rowland went down the inside of Da Costa to take the provisional leadership, moments before another Safety Car neutralised the race. Though underpowered having used up all of his attack modes by then, the Nissan driver managed to fend off an attacking Da Costa to claim the Mexico E-Prix win.

With Dennis demoted to P4, both DS Penske's rounded the top 6 with Jean Eric Vergne in P5 leading Maximilian Gunther in P6. Nyck de Vries completed a strong outing in his Mahindra Racing which put him in P8 at the flag, cclose behind Stoffell Vandoorne's Maserati and in front of Andretti driver, Nico Muller. Taylor Barnard, snagged the last point available in his McLaren completing the top 10 in Mexico.
