Zak Brown caused a stir on Tuesday with his statement about customer cars. According to Brown, Christian Horner's idea wasn't even that crazy, but why should the team get money for it? Otherwise the car will go to the scrap yard anyway, that was the McLaren team owner's idea.

Free customer cars?

In Marc Priestley's latest video, the former mechanic of the same McLaren goes live on YouTube and answers the questions of the fans. However, the most important subject has already been established and that is the customer cars. Is this a possibility and if so, can a team ask money for those cars?

With the new budget cap the sale of the old cars doesn't seem necessary anymore. On the contrary, the budget cap should ensure that more teams are able to make the best car with the maximum budget to spend. Should there still be a shortage of teams, then selling or handing over the old cars is an excellent solution.
