The Dutch Grand Prix will not be held in 2020. Of course it has been in the air for quite some time, but on Thursday morning the organization of the Dutch Grand Prix announces that there will be no race in 2020.

Wait another year

The Dutch Grand Prix was on the F1 calendar for the last time in 1985 and would make its comeback in 2020. May 3, 2020 was the date of the race, but the coronavirus messed up the whole calendar. However, Zandvoort wanted to celebrate it for the fans, but due to the corona crisis it could not do so.

The organization therefore decided to focus on 2021. In the hope that by that time large events will be allowed to take place again, Zandvoort would like to celebrate it with all racing fans. So the Netherlands will have to be patient for another year, but after 35 years of waiting that one year shouldn't be a problem.
