Sergio Perez and Esteban Ocon have to abandon their first free practice session at Imola early. The two drivers had damage, causing a red flag in Italy.
Unclear crash
Due to problems with the onboard cameras, it is still unclear what exactly happened, but the damage to Perez's car suggests the two drivers hit each other just before entering the Villeneuve corner.
The left rear wheel of Perez is damaged and so is the right front wheel of the Alpine. The mechanics now have to work to prepare the cars for Friday's second session.
