Verstappen and Russell joke: "Max had a fantastic race today"
- GPblog.com
Max Verstappen and George Russell gave a joint interview after the Belgian Grand Prix. The contemporaries were both visibly pleased with their performance and, despite not having driven, had plenty of reason to laugh.
"Max had a fantastic race today," Russell laughs for the camera in the square. Verstappen jokes that it was tough for him today though. "George put a lot of pressure on me. I tried to brake really late."
Russell up front next year?
Russell goes on to say that it was obviously a special afternoon for him and that he hopes to be on the podium again in the not too distant future. He longs to be able to compete more often against drivers like Verstappen and Charles Leclerc. That could happen next year when he replaces Valtteri Bottas in the Mercedes team.
