A equipe Red Bull Racing sofreu um duro golpe quando foi anunciado neste sábado à noite que o fundador da Red Bull, Dietrich Mateschitz, havia morrido aos 78 anos de idade. O paddock de Fórmula 1 reagiu à notícia com tristeza.

O presidente da F1, Stefano Domenicali, escreveu o seguinte: "Estou profundamente triste com a notícia de que Dietrich Mateschitz, um membro altamente respeitado e amado da família da Fórmula 1, faleceu. Ele foi um incrível empreendedor visionário e um homem que ajudou a transformar nosso esporte e criou a marca Red Bull que é conhecida em todo o mundo. Sentirei muita falta dele, assim como toda a comunidade da Fórmula 1, e nossos pensamentos e orações vão para sua família, amigos e as equipes Red Bull e AlphaTauri neste momento triste".
