Timetable | Evening session in Saudi Arabia and modified time for the race
- GPblog.com
Formula 1 is preparing for the final two races of the season. In an ultimate double header it will be decided who will take the world title in 2021. Will it be Max Verstappen or Lewis Hamilton? Find out what time you need to switch on for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix this weekend.
The F1 fan base hasn't been presented with such an exciting championship in years. Verstappen has a lead of only eight points in the world championship and in the constructors' standings it is also still exciting, with a difference of five points in favour of Mercedes. So there is still everything to fight for in the last two Grands Prix.
The final stage of the F1 season
The first race weekend of the double header is in Saudi Arabia, where Formula 1 goes for the first time. The street circuit in Jeddah has just been completed. A pretty fast circuit where the drivers have to be sharp for a long race. Especially considering the fact that the race is held in the evening under artificial light.
Locally the first and third free practice sessions are at 4:30 and 5pm, where FP2 and qualifying will start at 8pm. For the race a different time has been chosen, namely 8:30pm. With a time difference of three hours, this means that the sessions are three hours earlier. The start of the race is therefore at 5:30pm.
