Hamilton pushes Verstappen to the limit: 'Max didn't expect that'

Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton will battle it out for the world title in Abu Dhabi. In the Weekend Warm-Up Will Buxton and Lawrence Barretto discuss the incident between the two title rivals in Saudi Arabia, but also look ahead.
Verstappen on the limit
One week after the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix it is already time for the 22nd and final Grand Prix of 2021. In Abu Dhabi, the title battle will be decided between Hamilton and Verstappen, but not before they looked back at the incident in Jeddah. According to Formula1.com Verstappen didn't feel like looking back.
''Max didn't really feel like talking about it. He wants to put it all behind him. Lewis, if you look at his body language, seems to be dealing with it all just a little bit better. That's understandable too because Hamilton has more experience,'' says Barretto. When Buxton asks him if Verstappen snapped in Saudi Arabia Barretto doubts it.
Hamilton pushed to the limit
''I think he was pushed very far and has never been pushed that far in the past. He may have reacted in a way that he himself did not expect,'' Barretto said. Buxton and Barretto agree that it's almost a shame that one driver won't take the title, because they pushed each other to the limit.
''We have seen a different side of Verstappen this year. He was there right from the start as a title favourite and I think Lewis has had to ask more of himself than he has ever had to do. So he says it will be the greatest achievement ever if he manages to win the eighth world title now'', Buxton concludes.
