Verstappen sees major advantage: 'Long runs a lot more competitive'.

Max Verstappen finished fourth during the second free practice in Abu Dhabi. The Dutchman's pace was variable, but he certainly sees positive points.
The Abu Dhabi circuit has been modified this year to include more faster corners. Verstappen seems happy with the new modifications.
"I think it's a bit more fun to drive. In general, faster corners are more fun, especially in the last sector. It was always a bit tight off-camber, now it's better. I do think the changes are positive," the Dutchman commented to Sky Sports after the session.
Still room for improvement
During FP2 Red Bull changed the set-up of the car several times. In terms of qualifying pace the team couldn't match Mercedes' times, but in the long runs Verstappen and team-mate Sergio Perez look good. The second practice is often focused on the longruns.
"We are still learning and understanding a few things. Clearly, the short run didn't go as planned, we lacking a bit of pace. I think the long runs were a lot more competitive. That's also important," Verstappen said.
