Red Bull shows sportsmanship towards Mercedes: 'Historic achievement'
- GPblog.com
Mercedes won the Constructors' Championship for the eighth time this season. Red Bull Racing decided to congratulate the competitor on social media for the success of the German racing team.
Toto Wolff was not present in person on Thursday evening to receive the main prize. The Mercedes team boss is still angry about the decision of the race committee during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, as a result of which Lewis Hamilton missed out on the world title. Mercedes, therefore, sent James Allison to the FIA gala.
On Friday morning Mercedes put up a message. The team put a video online in which was shown that Mercedes was the best constructor for the eighth time. This was the reason for Red Bull to congratulate the team with this result.
Congratulations on a truly historic achievement, an eighth Constructors' Championship What a season of fierce racing and we look forward to more next year
