Kimi Raikkonen drove the last Grand Prix of his Formula 1 career in Abu Dhabi. For years it seemed that the Finn could not get enough of the sport, but now it is clear that he is looking forward to a life without Formula 1.
In an interview with Welt.de Raikkonen said: "Unfortunately I have no choice, but don't take it personally."
Raikkonen keeps in touch with Vettel
Raikkonen doesn't usually reveal too much about private matters, but says he still has a lot of contact with his former teammate Sebastian Vettel. During their time at Ferrari, the two became friends and the Finn expects to continue seeing him regularly even after his F1 career. "Soon I will have more time, so we will definitely see each other from time to time," he said.
Raikkonen is one of the few drivers who has raced against Michael Schumacher and his son Mick Schumacher as well as Jos Verstappen and Max Verstappen. Asked if that makes him feel old, the Finn replied: "I like it. You only feel old when you get old in your head," said the 2007 World Champion.
