Raikkonen clear: "I don't care about the rest"

Kimi Raikkonen said goodbye to Formula 1 after last season. Although the Finn was never one of the most colourful drivers in motorsport, the fans know him for his special character. Raikkonen himself has no problems with that.
The 42-year old Finn has worked for Sauber, McLaren, Ferrari, Lotus and Alfa Romeo, where he was successful on several occasions. In 2007 he even managed to crown himself world champion. However, during his glory years, Raikkonen's lyrics were far from remarkable in motorsport.
Raikkonen says in conversation with Speedweek.com Raikkonen states that it is not important to him how people talk about him. "I do things the way I think is right. I don't care about the rest," he revealed in the interview. "Of course, you can pretend to be someone else. That works for a year, maybe two years, but in the long run that breaks you though."
Alfa Romeo shows confidence in Zhou and Bottas
While Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi were active for Alfa Romeo last season, the team decided this year that it will continue with two other drivers next race year. Valtteri Bottas and Guanyu Zhou will have to ensure that Alfa Romeo scores more points in 2022.
