The controversy surrounding the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is still fresh in everyone's mind, but the start of the Formula One season is getting closer and closer in the meantime. The FIA is now investigating that race, but Karun Chandhok notes that apart from that, they have been very quiet since the Grand Prix in question.

The end of the race in Abu Dhabi has already provided many stories, opinions, conversations and discussions. Meanwhile, everyone is beginning to talking about the possible departure of Lewis Hamilton and the future of Toto Wolff and Mercedes. The controversy and discussions have led to an investigation from the FIA. Chandhok thinks it is especially important that they complete the investigation as soon as possible, because the silence is curious.

"I 100% agree…As I have said repeatedly, the FIA need to clarify once & for all (1) why those wrong decisions were made; & (2) how it won’t happen again. The silence is deafening & odd," said the former Formula One driver on Twitter.

Investigation has been launched

The FIA is currently conducting an investigation and they expect to present its final report before the first race of the 2022 season. The pressure is on the race committee and FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem, as they need to ensure that the controversy surrounding the last race of the season disappears as much as possible.
