Irish bookmaker gives out 'justice payout' after controversial Abu Dhabi GP

An Irish bookmaker has come up with a way to end the discussion about the controversial Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. They decided to do a "justice payout" and thus pay all participants.
The end of the Formula One season is seen as controversial due to the decisions of the race director. According to bookmaker Paddy Power, Max Verstappen needed a miracle to win. The ambiguous decision of the race director was exactly the kind of miracle the Dutchman needed.
Due to the controversy and discussion surrounding the Red Bull Racing driver's world title, the bookmaker decided to make a so-called "Justice Payout". It didn't feel right to the company to only pay a part of the participants. In the end it didn't matter if you chose Verstappen or Lewis Hamilton, as everyone got an amount. "We hate sporting injustice. So we did our part after the controversial denouement of the Formula 1 season in Abu Dhabi," the company told Corriere dello Sport.
